This event is not about how to bring technology into classrooms. It's an experience that creates space for Montessorians to thoughtfully reflect on the enduring relevance of Montessori education and the role of the prepared adult in guiding children within a changing world. 

Together, we will:

• Explore how to continue cultivating the concentration, critical thinking, adaptability, independence, and human-centered capacities children will need in a technology-forward world.  
• Engage in reflective dialogue centering how Montessori education continues to meet the needs of today’s child, while developing shared language and informed perspectives around technology, AI, and future readiness.  

This experience is designed to meet you where you are! Whether you are actively using AI, wrestling with its implications, or simply unsure about the direction technology is taking us this space is created for you.

Previously, AMS hosted two separate events.

The Labposium, exclusively for Montessori leaders, supported participants in identifying and prioritizing goals and challenges, questioning their own practices, and establishing frameworks for the evolution of Montessori. 

The Regional Symposium, open to all, took speakers on the road to visit communities and provide workshops and presentations on current trends and challenges in the field.  

The Regional Labposium is the best of both worlds. 

Open to all, the Regional Labposium is bringing the conversations to 5 different stops throughout the community to inspire action, understanding, and deepen your unique community. Together, we’ll solve modern challenges in real time, in community, in person. 

The Regional Labposium is designed to help you: 

• Reconnect with the core principles and purpose of Montessori practice  
• Explore how Montessori education already prepares children for today’s changing world  
• Reflect on the role of the prepared adult in a world shaped by technology and AI  
• Gain practical language and tools for conversations with families, colleagues, and school communities  
• Connect with Montessori educators and leaders who are exploring similar questions together
